Follow-up Consultations

At the initial visit, we will discuss the need for follow up consultation. This may be essential;

• if investigations have been requested to clarify the diagnosis and the results of these need to be discussed
• if medication has been recommended and needs review with adjustment or change in the light of treatment response or side effects.

In some cases a follow-up appointment may be optional. For example if scans or other tests have been done for reassurance and are therefore expected to be normal we might agree that I can write to you confirm the result. If this is the arrangement then please contact my office of you do not receive the results letter as expected.

Please let my office know when your scan or other test is being done so that we can chase the result for me to write to you sooner.
